Piano Player Like Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys took piano lessons at an early age and that single act was probably the primary determining factor as to why she succeeded at becoming a magnificent pianist so early in life. How Early? Keys was writing songs when she was 14, by that time she had an amazing seven years of piano lessons under her belt. That means she started studying piano when she was only seven.

Although she entered Columbia University, her love true love, music beckoned and Alicia left Columbia behind to fulfill her life long dream. The rest is history.

Keys wrote her first song "Butterflyz" at fourteen. The song was later recorded for her debut album, which sold more than fifty thousand copies the day it went on the market. Record executives were so impressed with the response that they predicted similar numbers for Alicia’s first week of sales.
